Who We Are?

Peradeniya University Alumni Association of New South Wales (PUAAN) was established in May 2007 as an apolitical, non-racial organisation with equal sentiments towards all religions. PUAAN has now come a long way from its initial simple beginnings to become a highly regarded and respected formidable association within NSW. We can justifiably be proud of our achievements within the short period of our existence.

We have been focussed on bringing together those that had the privilege of attending University of Peradeniya and living in NSW under one umbrella, irrespective of the faculty of study. We welcome new members with open arms. While we continue to increase our membership we derive great satisfaction in developing camaraderie amongst a community that achieved so much from the moulding we received at this great institution through academic pursuits, community living, sharing of facilities, social engagements and the fun and frolic.

We continue to extend our gratitude to the University and provide support to the current student body by implementing various projects and offering studentships and scholarships annually to all nine faculties.

The leaders across all fields that the University of Peradeniya moulded during the last 70 years have earned the University the respect and recognition that is unique amongst all Sri Lankan Universities. What matters is the impact that each one of us, at our best, contributes to this journey.

Our Mission

Creating an atmosphere where its members are freely sharing their unique values and norms that were acquired during the university life in Peradeniya and enriched culture in Sri Lanka.

Our Core Values
